Paul Nii Amu Andrew Darko grew up in Labadi, on Accra's coast, and started making music the way most of his generation did — on borrowed equipment, in other people's studios. Kpanlogo, his 2020 debut, took its name from the Ga drum rhythm his neighbourhood grew up on.

Six years and three more releases later, he's still one of the few Ghanaian artists whose visual identity gets discussed as closely as the music. Both come from the same place.
